Summer Stash-a-thon for Sew Your (Pattern) Stash

Are you ready to really get sewing through your stash?  I am introducing fun motivators to work through your patterns double-time this summer (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere).  I hope you will sew along!

The Summer Stash-a-thon will run from June 1 through (US) Labor Day in conjunction with the Sew Your (Pattern) Stash Facebook group.  Sew as many of your stash patterns as you can during this time - even (especially) more than once per pattern.  Then link up and/or edit the file in the Pattern Stash Group for each item.  After Labor Day, I will announce the sewing-est sewists and feature a random winner or two from the link up.  I'm not very bold when it comes to asking for prizes/giveaways, so I'll probably gather a few goodies from my own stash (of non-patterns) to send out to winners.  We will see what happens.

April & May Sew Your (Pattern) Stash

Due to technical difficulties and general life this blog has been too quiet the last two months.  Let me say, it is a good idea to keep your drinks away from your computer, laptop, computerized sewing machine and similar devices.  Shortly after getting my laptop back from a hard drive replacement, 32 ounces of soda (pop) was spilled (accidentally) directly on top of the laptop keyboard.  I never heard from it again!  The process of replacing the laptop, re-activating windows, re-entering all my passwords, etc combined with the general pace of life as a homeschooler and mother and wife has kept me from most of my sewing and all of my blogging.  Which is a bummer because I enjoy both and was really looking forward to the April and May themes.
The link up here is for your projects from April and May if you'd like to link up - and it will be open until June 5 since it's so late.   Be sure to keep an eye out for a fun adjustment to the summer schedule for Sew Your (Pattern) Stash!  Also, I'll be posting my article from the recent One Thimble Magazine, and a special project on Monday as part of the Mystery Challenge Tour.

Have a great weekend - for those of us in the US, it is one of the best weekends of the year, and a necessary opportunity to stop and remember all who have given their lives for the liberty we have enjoy!

Link-Up Guidelines:
You may link to any sewing project you complete during the month of March that meets our three requirements:
  1. From Your Pattern Stash  -  sewn using a pdf (or paper) pattern you already owned by the end of 2014.
  2. Fits the Monthly Theme - this month's theme is Dresses & Skirts, so you may link to any sewing project that is along these lines (for girls or women - either is fine).
  3. Includes the Sew Your (Pattern) Stash button - either in your blog post or on your blog sidebar.  (grab the HTML code for the button below)
Link to as many projects you sew during the month that fit the guidelines.  You are welcome to enter more than one project during the month.  If you do not blog, you may link a photo of your project (I set up this link party so that you can upload a photo with or without a URL), or you may share your photo in our March Show-Off Album in the Facebook group.

Can't wait to see what everyone makes this month!

March Link Party - Sew Your (Pattern) Stash

March is here already and with it comes a new theme and new link party for Sew Your (Pattern) Stash 2015!
You can read more about Sew Your (Pattern) Stash here and join the Facebook group here if you haven't already.  I hope you link up!  I've set up this link party to accept photos with or without a url to give opportunity to those of you who do not blog or have a url for your project.   The February link party was great and I loved seeing everyone's accessories and pajamas.  Personally, I still didn't hit my goal of sewing Stella from Swoon Patterns (affiliate link) and a few other small accessories like burp cloths and lip balm holders.  However, I did sew a knit bow headband for my youngest daughter and I cut four Ethel totes from Swoon (instead of the Stella).  I just haven't sewn them all yet.  I am really excited about this month, though, and planning to finish my Ethels as well as sew Easter dress(es?) for at least my oldest daughter and I'd like to make Betty Ann from Sis Boom Patterns.  I actually have quite a few dresses I'd like to make but I'm trying not to over shoot it!  The Link Party is at the bottom, but first:

Congratulations to our February winners!  Ren M., Janai A., and Nydia C. each won one of the Swoon Patterns that Alicia generously provided.  Ren M. from The Inspired Wren was the random winner for the February Link Party and she created this cozy newborn layette using the Lullaby Layette pattern from Oliver + S.  Please visit her blog for all the details!

February Link Party - Sew Your (Pattern) Stash

It's time to open our February monthly link up for Sew Your (Pattern) Stash 2015 (you can read more about Sew Your (Pattern) Stash here and join the Facebook group here if you haven't already).  I hope you get a chance to link up!  I've set up this link party to accept photos without a url to give opportunity to those of you who do not blog or have a url for your project.   The January link party was lots of fun with several creative projects.  I am disappointed that, although I sewed a ton during January, I never completed my goal of sewing something for myself.  This month, I am aiming to sew a Stella from Swoon Patterns (affiliate link) and a few other small accessories like burp cloths and lip balm holders.  Maybe (but I'm not counting on it) I'll get to make some pajama pants for the kids.  The weeks always seem to fly by and February is even shorter than most months.

Congratulations go to Denita from Hattilu Handmade as the random winner of last month's link party (winning link).  Please visit her blog to see all she accomplished.  I love what she made for herself and especially the touch of decorative stitching at the pockets and hemline on her Jocole Wideleg Pants.  She won a $15 gift certificate to the Imagine Gnats shop (affiliate link). The prize was self-sponsored - I love Rachel's blog and shop and wanted to introduce more people to it.  If you haven't seen her selection of fabrics and patterns - I highly recommend you stop by.  In addition to carrying great fabric, she runs some incredible sales and offers even more fun on her blog.

And A Prize! (Three Prizes!)
This month Alicia from Swoon Patterns is giving away three of her favorite patterns.  Three winners: the first can choose one from Glenda, Betty and Vivian.  The second winner gets her choice between the two reamianing patterns and the third received the remaining pattern.
