I love this fabric storage solution! My friend found the idea on Pinterest, and I found it from her. I do not have a sewing room, and all my work is done at the kitchen table. I need a place to keep fabric and other sewing materials other places around the house. It also needs to be secure from my children, especially my youngest who is just over one year old and loves getting in to my thread and fabric whenever she can get her hands on it! I have between 1 and 3 yards of each fabric stored in this file drawer (the blue fabric with the large white flowers and green leaves shows what three yards looks like). My friend took the folder off the metal hanging bars and just used the bars to hang her fabric. I kept the folder in tact and used it to keep receipts, scraps, and to tuck coordinating remnants in.
