One of my goals for 2016 is to learn more and practice color theory so I'm joining in my first Color Play Friday with Lorinda at Laurel, Poppy & Pine and Trina at In An Otter Life. For more #ColorPlayFriday guidelines and to learn how to join in, visit their sites. I present this as a personal practice - not as an expert example!
For my selections, I wanted to imagine the colors on a less overcast day and brightened them up a bit. All the links are to Fabricworm.com and are not affiliate links. I have permission to use the images from Fabricworm.com, which is why I link there. Plus, I just love shopping with them, so it's like a mini shopping cart for each blog post!
When I saw the selected image for the week, I knew I wanted to give it a try - I love greens and purples and blues. I used the silver lining on the clouds for a grey and it makes me smile. I'm still not sure about the Ivory with the whites. I like the idea of it, but I'm not sure I'd like the selection in person. And the palette as a while is a bit subdued and less bold (see the links at the bottom to visit the other participants and see their selections). What do you think?
Fabrics Left to Right
Don’t forget to head over to the other blogs and see what they came up with! The fun of Color Play Friday is seeing the differences and similarities between everyone’s bundles.

How fun! I love Leah Duncan's print: elegant and subtle.
ReplyDeleteI love your super-subtle bundle! It makes me think of mild spring weather (not a common thing where I live!) and a peaceful afternoon. I'm glad you joined in!
